Santa's Christmas Socks
I have to hand it to Mrs. Claus when it comes to her being thrifty. She doesn’t waste anything, and she very diligent about recycling. She just brought me some of the warmest wool socks I’ve ever worn! She knew I’d like them because she and some of the elves made them from remnants of old sweaters that I once had. Elf McDonnegal, who is the fastest knitter around and is also in charge of the Merry Christmas Irish Sweater, Scarves, and Hats shop, broke down these old sweaters and rolled them into several balls of colorful yarn. Elf McDonnegal and some of her helper elves then set out with Mrs. Claus to knit socks as gifts for the reindeer. Fortunately for me, they had enough material left and they made an extra pair of socks for me! I hope I don't wear these down too fast. My feet get cold too often, and these socks are so warm! I think I’ll give McDonnegal some more of my old sweaters and see what she comes up with for a new hat!
