Sillier Than Silly Skits

Many years ago Mrs. Claus decided to start a weekly Merry-Christmas Village activity of what she calls the ‘Random-Let’s-All-Be-Silly-Time’. Everyone here looks forward to this event. She first goes over to the Christmas Village Chapel and asks the musical elves to ring all the church bells from the smallest the to biggest – there’s 88 bells in the steeple, so when they start ringing and chiming it gets everyone’s attention. This is the signal to stop what we are doing and gather in the village square. Mrs. Claus calls out random names and this group gets to put on what the elves call “The Sillier Than Silly Skits.” Today, the elves and reindeer put on a tap dancing contest. Elf J.Kelly – our best dancer would tap dance a pattern, then the reindeer would try to copy her dance motions. The harder the dance step, the funnier the reindeer looked! Pretty soon everyone was trying their hand at these tap dance moves. It was so funny! Then, as always, Mrs. Claus brings out a fresh batch of cookies and candy canes. This is the perfect way to break up the week – don’t you think?
