The Merry Christmas Village Parades

There's one thing that the Merry-Christmas Village community loves to do and that's put on parades. At least once a month there's a parade that anyone at the village can participate in. Of course, the Grand December Christmas parade is always the biggest, but we get some pretty fun parades in the other months. We just had a November to Remember parade - and the theme was The blue, bahloo. The idea was to have a colorful wind-blown displays travel down the village square. The elves were challenged to put sails on their sleds and toboggans, tie them together and attach blue-colored lights and blue streamers. To make it more fun, the snowmen erected giant wind fans to create very strong wind drafts. Sure enough, the lighted toboggans and sleds came skidding along, and the elves got pretty good at navigating with their attached sails. I really enjoyed the procession of elves humming with their musical kazoos and riding their blue sleds just like they were skiing on water. With the blinking blue lights they shaped themselves into a giant Christmas tree and breezed through the square. It was a fun sight to see!
