The Christmas Village Tomoniopepps

I was taking a stroll through our big indoor garden today and was watching all the elves tend to the thousands of plants they have growing there. Elf LeNoel waved me over to show me some of her new "Christmas" vegetables. She has been working several years on combining the characteristics of several veggies for her special tomato-onion-green pepper plant, and for the first time she had some big sprouts to pick. She wanted to grow this combination because the colors of these three vegetables reminded her so much of a Merry Christmas. These plants were growing what she called Tomoniopepps (Toe-Mo-Nee-Yo-Peps). I helped Elf LeNoel pick some of these new veggies and put them in a big basket for Mrs. Claus. What is special about these tomoniopepps is that they are striped Red-White-Green. This is a perfect Christmas vegetable! When we showed this new veggie in the Elf Kitchen it drew a lot of interest. Elf Noel suggested that Elf Bing (one of our top bakers) to cut some up and put them on a pizza! MMMMMmmm. My mouth was watering just thinking of the new Tomoniopepp Pizza! I must tell you that this pizza was a hit at the Merry Christmas village! In fact, Elf Bing was overwhelmed with requests for more pizza with Elf LeNoels special veggie. She's now busy collecting seeds to grow a new batch - she says it will take about three months - but it will be worth the wait!
