The Christmas Village Confectionary

I stopped by the Christmas Village Confectionary shop today to see what is new in the Sweets N’ Candies Research Lab. The elves are constantly making all kinds of treats to be included with the many gifts to be delivered soon. Inside this shop I can always smell the most wonderful things. Every step that you take in here you’re treated to a different candy smell. Each colored floor tile has a name plate on its face of a different candy smell - and all you do is stand on the tile, take a whiff, and you’re flooded with that particular scent! Of course, there are shelves and shelves of my favorite Christmas sweets such as the ever popular Barber Pole candy canes – all kinds of sugar sticks, and rows of specialized canes such as standard favorites like bubble gum, licorice, and cinnamon. Plus, there’s every kind of fruited flavor you can think of. I like the raspberry-banana-nut candy canes myself. Ho! Ho! Ho! The chief candy shop manager, Elf Finny, said she had just created a new chocolate bar and wanted me to try it. It was a blend of cherry yogurt, toasted chopped almonds, a ‘tinch of buttered roasted cacao bean – all covered with swirled crunch-laden sweet chocolate. I took a bite and Finny said my eyes lit up like a Christmas tree! This is a good sign. I asked Elf Finny to make a batch so I could hand them out to the reindeer – they too like sweets n’ treats!
