(G) Sometimes, animation can be as touching as a live action film -- maybe even more so. "Mickey's Christmas Carol" is more than just a cartoon. It's a wonderful adaptation of the classic Dickens story, with all the emotions and lessons intact. Mickey, naturally, is the hapless Bob, and who better than Scrooge McDuck to play the miserly fellow who learns a lot about life's values when he is haunted by spirits? Some of the most beloved Disney characters of all time portray the Dickens folk. This is wonderful family entertainment. (1983)
